Ingredients
4 cups sliced apples
1/4 cup hot water
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
Preparation
1. Arrange sliced apples in a buttered baking dish.
2. Pour hot water over the apples.
3. Cream the butter, then add flour and sugar. Blend to form crumbs.
4. Sprinkle crumb mixture over apples.
5. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 40–45 minutes, until apples are tender and topping is golden brown.
